NI8U-S12-AP6X Description
Turck NI8U-S12-AP6X is an inductive proximity sensor designed for detecting metal objects within an 8mm sensing distance. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -30°C to +85°C and is equipped with a 2m pre-wired cable with bare end flying leads for connection. This sensor is part of the NI...-S12 series and features a partially threaded M12 barrel shape. It offers a supply voltage range of 10-30Vdc, including nominal 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and supports a maximum switching frequency of 1kHz. The housing is made of PA6 GK15 Polyamide, with a PA12-GF30 glass fiber reinforced Polyamide sensing face and an EPTR end cap, complemented by a PVC cable jacket. It operates in a Normally Open (NO) mode and includes a single digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.). The sensor provides protection against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity, with a response time of 8ms and a control circuit rated current of 200mA. The current consumption is 25mA under no-load conditions, and it is rated with an IP68 degree of protection.
