NI8U-M12-AP6X Description
Turck NI8U-M12-AP6X is an inductive proximity sensor designed for a variety of applications requiring precise, non-contact detection of metallic objects. This sensor operates within an ambient air temperature range of -30°C to +85°C and is equipped with a 2m pre-wired cable with bare end flying leads for easy installation. Part of the NI...-M12 series, it features a partially threaded M12 barrel shape, ensuring a secure fit in tight spaces. The sensor is housed in chrome-plated brass with a Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) sensing face and an Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber (EPTR) end cap, complemented by a PVC cable jacket, offering an IP68 degree of protection against dust and water ingress. It operates on a supply voltage of 10-30Vdc, with nominal voltages of 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and can detect objects up to 8mm away. The NI8U-M12-AP6X provides a single digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.), capable of a maximum switching frequency of 1kHz. It features protection against short-circuits, overload, and reverse polarity, with a quick response time of 8ms. The control circuit is rated for a current of 200mA, with a no-load current consumption of 25mA.
