BI8U-P18-AP6/S139-S1261 Description
Turck BI8U-P18-AP6/S139-S1261 is an inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-P18 series, designed as an embeddable special version without an LED indicator. It operates with a supply voltage range of 10-30Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. The sensor features a POM (Polyoxymethylene) housing and sensing face, a 1.4401 (316) stainless steel end cap, and a TPE (Thermoplastic elastomer) cable jacket. It is connected via a pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft TPE-jacketed cable terminated with bare end flying leads. The shape is an M18 fully threaded barrel, offering a degree of protection rated at IP68. It has a maximum switching frequency of 2kHz / 2000Hz, an ambient air temperature operation range of -30°C to +85°C, and a response time of 8ms / 0.008 s. The sensor includes 1 x digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.), with a no-load current consumption of 15mA, a sensing distance of 8mm, and is equipped with protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The control circuit is rated for a current of 200mA / 0.2 A, and it operates in a Normally Open (NO) mode.
