BI8U-M18-AP6X Description
Turck BI8U-M18-AP6X is an inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-M18 series, designed for embeddable applications. It operates with a supply voltage range of 10-30Vdc, including nominal 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and features a chrome-plated brass housing, an LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer) sensing face, an EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber) end cap, and a PVC cable jacket. This sensor is connected via a pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft cable terminated with bare end flying leads. It has an M18 partially threaded barrel shape and offers an IP68 degree of protection. The maximum switching frequency is 1.5kHz / 1500Hz, and it can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -30°C to +85°C. The sensor includes 1 x digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.), with a no-load current consumption of 25mA and a sensing distance of 8mm. It is equipped with protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity, and has a control circuit rated current of 200mA / 0.2 A. The operating mode is NO (Normally Open), and it features an M18 thread size.
