BI8U-M18-AP6X/S1679 Description
Turck BI8U-M18-AP6X/S1679 is an inductive proximity sensor from the BI...-M18 series, designed with a chrome-plated brass housing in an M18 partially threaded barrel shape. This sensor operates with a supply voltage range of 10-30Vdc, including nominal 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and is equipped with a pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft cable terminated with bare end flying leads for connection. It features a single digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP) and offers a sensing distance of 8mm. The BI8U-M18-AP6X/S1679 operates in a NO (Normally Open) mode and includes protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. It is designed for operation within an ambient air temperature range of -30°C to +85°C and is rated with a degree of protection of IP67. The sensor comes bundled with 2 x lockwashers for embeddable mounting, ensuring secure installation.
