Turck BI8U-EM18WDTC-AP6X is an inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-EM18 series, designed for embeddable applications. It operates with a supply voltage range of 10-30Vdc, including nominal 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and features a 1.4404 (316L) stainless steel housing with an LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer) sensing face, making it resistant to washdowns. This sensor is equipped with a wiring chamber terminal block and an M16x1.5 entry for connections. It has an M18 partially threaded barrel shape with a terminal chamber. The sensor offers a degree of protection rated at IP68 and IP69K, with a maximum switching frequency of 1.5kHz or 1500Hz. It can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -40°C to +100°C. The BI8U-EM18WDTC-AP6X provides one digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.), with a no-load current consumption of 25mA. Its sensing distance is 8mm, and it includes protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The thread size is M18, and it operates in a Normally Open (NO) mode.
