BI8U-EM18WD-AP6X Description
Turck BI8U-EM18WD-AP6X is an inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-EM18 series, designed for embeddable applications. It operates on a supply voltage of 10-30Vdc, with nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and features a sensing distance of 8mm. The sensor is housed in 1.4404 (316L) stainless steel with an LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer) sensing face and a PP (Polypropylene) end cap, along with a PP cable jacket, making it washdown-resistant. It comes pre-wired with a 2m / 6.5ft PP-jacketed cable terminated with bare end flying leads. The sensor's shape is an M18 partially threaded barrel, offering a degree of protection rated at IP68 and IP69K. It has a maximum switching frequency of 1.5kHz / 1500Hz and a response time of 8ms / 0.008 s. The ambient air temperature for operation ranges from -40°C to +100°C. This model includes 1 x digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.), with a no-load current consumption of 25mA. It features protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity, with a control circuit rated current of 200mA / 0.2 A. The operating mode is NO (Normally Open), and it has an M18 thread size.
