Turck BI8U-EM18M-AP6X2-H1141/S1589 is an inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-EM18 series, designed with a medium barrel length that is Weldguard coated and embeddable. It operates on a supply voltage of 10-30Vdc, with nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and features a housing made of 1.4301 (304) stainless steel with a PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate) sensing face. This sensor is equipped with a 4-pin M12 Eurofast QD male connector for connectivity, and its shape is an M18 partially threaded medium length cylindrical/barrel. It offers a degree of protection rated at IP68 and can operate within an ambient air temperature range of -30°C to +85°C. The sensor has a maximum switching frequency of 1.5kHz / 1500Hz, a response time of 8ms / 0.008 s, and includes 1 x digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.). Its current consumption is 25mA under no-load conditions, with a sensing distance of 8mm. Protection functions include short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity protection, with a control circuit rated current of 200mA / 0.2 A. The operating mode of this sensor is NO (Normally Open), and it has an M18 thread size.
