SMU315D Description
Banner Engineering SMU315D is a photo-electric sensor from the SMU315 universal voltage series, featuring a diffuse mode with potentiometer adjustment. This sensor is housed in thermoplastic and comes pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable terminated with bare end flying leads. It supports a supply voltage range of 24Vac-240Vac (200Vac / 220Vac nom.) and 24Vdc-240Vdc (48Vdc / 120Vdc / 220Vdc nom.), making it versatile for various power supplies. The SMU315D is designed for M18 threaded mount installation and can operate within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +55°C. It offers a high degree of protection, rated at IP67 and compliant with multiple NEMA standards, including 1, 2, 3, 3S, 4, 4X, 6, 12, and 13. The sensor has a rectangular shape, includes 1 x digital output (SPDT relay contact), and provides a sensing distance of up to 380mm. It operates with infrared light (IR) at a wavelength of 880 nm and has a response time of 20ms / 0.02 s, with both Light-ON and Dark-ON operating modes.
