Banner Engineering S18-2VPLP-Q5 is a polarized photo-electric sensor from the S18-2 series, designed in a retro-reflective mode. This sensor features a thermoplastic housing with an acrylic lens and a PVC connector, ensuring durability and clear signal transmission. It is pre-wired with a 6-inch (150mm) pigtail that terminates with a 4-pin Euro-style M12 connector for easy installation. The sensor operates on a supply voltage range of 10Vdc to 30Vdc, with nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and can function within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +70 degrees Celsius. It boasts an IP67 degree of protection, making it suitable for use in various environmental conditions. The S18-2VPLP-Q5 has a compact M18 cylindrical threaded/barrel shape for straightforward integration into different setups. It offers a single digital output (PNP transistor) and can detect objects up to 6 meters away. The sensor emits visible red light with a wavelength of 624 nm and responds to changes in less than 1.5 milliseconds (0.0015 seconds), with the capability to operate in both Light-ON and Dark-ON modes.
