S18-2VPDL-Q5 Description
Banner Engineering S18-2VPDL-Q5 is a photo-electric sensor from the S18-2 series, designed with a diffuse mode potentiometer adjustment. This sensor features a thermoplastic housing with an acrylic lens and a PVC connector, ensuring durability. It is pre-wired with a 6" / 150mm pigtail that terminates with a 4-pin Euro-style M12 connector for easy installation. The S18-2VPDL-Q5 operates on a supply voltage of 10Vdc-30Vdc (12Vdc / 24Vdc nom.) and can function within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +70°C. It offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, making it suitable for various industrial environments. The sensor has a cylindrical threaded/barrel shape with an M18 thread size. It includes 1 x digital output (PNP transistor) and can detect objects up to a sensing distance of 750mm. The visible red light, with a wavelength of 624 nm and a quick response time of 1.5ms / 0.0015 s, allows for precise detection.
