Banner Engineering QS18EK6XLPC is a polarized (coaxial) photo-electric sensor designed for retro-reflective mode operation with TEACH mode functionality. It features an M18 threaded mount for secure installation and is equipped with a pre-wired 6.5ft / 2m cable that terminates with bare end flying leads for easy connection. This sensor operates within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +70°C and is housed in a thermoplastic casing with a Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) lens, ensuring durability. Part of the QS18 Expert series, it offers a degree of protection rated at IP67 NEMA 6, making it suitable for challenging environments. The QS18EK6XLPC operates on a supply voltage of 10Vdc-30Vdc (with 12Vdc / 24Vdc nominal) and supports the IO-Link communication protocol for enhanced connectivity. It has a sensing distance of up to 3m and utilizes visible red light with a wavelength of 625 nm. This sensor can operate in both Light-ON and Dark-ON modes, providing flexibility in application. It also features two digital outputs (PNP/NPN transistor) and boasts a rapid response time of 0.4ms / 0.0004 s.
