Banner Engineering QS18EK6DVQ8 is a photo-electric sensor from the QS18 Expert series, designed with a diffuse mode TEACH mode for versatile applications. It features an M18 threaded mount for secure installation and is pre-equipped with a 4-pin Euro-style M12 connector for easy connection. This sensor operates within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +70°C and is housed in a thermoplastic casing with a Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) lens, ensuring durability. It offers a sensing distance of up to 600mm with a visible red light source at a wavelength of 640 nm. The QS18EK6DVQ8 supports both Light-ON and Dark-ON operating modes and includes two digital outputs (PNP/NPN transistor) for flexible output configurations. With a rapid response time of 0.6ms, it is suitable for fast-paced environments. This sensor is powered by a supply voltage ranging from 10Vdc to 30Vdc (with 12Vdc / 24Vdc nominal) and is protected to IP67 NEMA 6 standards, making it resistant to dust and water ingress. It also features IO-Link communication protocol for advanced data exchange.
