Banner Engineering QS18EK6DVQ5 is a photo-electric sensor designed for versatile applications, featuring an M18 threaded mount for secure installation. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +70°C and is equipped with a diffuse mode TEACH mode for adaptable sensing. This sensor is pre-wired with a 6" / 150mm pigtail terminated with a 4-pin Euro-style M12 connector, ensuring easy and reliable connection. Part of the QS18 Expert series, it offers a high degree of protection rated at IP67 NEMA 6, suitable for demanding environments. The QS18EK6DVQ5 operates on a supply voltage of 10Vdc-30Vdc (12Vdc / 24Vdc nom.), and its rectangular shape is constructed from a thermoplastic housing with a Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) lens. It supports IO-Link communication protocol for enhanced connectivity and control. With a sensing distance of 600mm and visible red light color, it provides clear operational status. The sensor operates in both Light-ON and Dark-ON modes, with a wavelength of 640 nm, and includes 2 x digital outputs (PNP/NPN transistor) for flexible output configurations. Its response time is swift at 0.6ms / 0.0006 s, facilitating quick detection and processing of objects.
