Banner Engineering QS18EK6CV15Q8 is a photo-electric sensor from the QS18 Expert series, designed with a convergent mode and TEACH mode for precise sensing applications. It features an M18 threaded mount for secure installation and is equipped with a 4-pin Euro-style M12 connector for easy connection. This sensor operates within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +70°C and is housed in a thermoplastic casing with a Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) lens, ensuring durability. It offers a supply voltage range of 10Vdc to 30Vdc, with 12Vdc and 24Vdc as nominal values. The QS18EK6CV15Q8 has a rectangular shape, provides IP67 and NEMA 6 degrees of protection against ingress, and supports the IO-Link communication protocol for enhanced connectivity. It features a sensing distance of 16mm with visible red light at a wavelength of 640 nm. This sensor includes two digital outputs (PNP/NPN transistor) and offers both Light-ON and Dark-ON operating modes, with a rapid response time of 0.6ms / 0.0006 s.
