NI8U-M12-AN6X Description
Turck NI8U-M12-AN6X is an inductive proximity sensor designed for detecting the presence of metal objects without contact. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -30°C to +85°C and is equipped with a 2m pre-wired cable with bare end flying leads for connection. This sensor is part of the NI...-M12 series and features a partially threaded M12 barrel shape. It offers a degree of protection rated at IP68, making it suitable for use in environments where dust and moisture resistance is required. The sensor operates with a supply voltage of 10-30Vdc, including nominal voltages of 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and has a maximum switching frequency of 1kHz. The housing is made of chrome-plated brass with a Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) sensing face and an Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber (EPTR) end cap, complemented by a PVC cable jacket. It provides a sensing distance of 8mm and operates in a Normally Open (NO) mode. The sensor has an M12 thread size and includes one digital output (10-30Vdc; NPN; 200mA max.). It features protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity, with a response time of 8ms and a control circuit rated current of 200mA. The current consumption under no-load conditions is 25mA.
