NI8U-EM12-AP6X Description

Turck NI8U-EM12-AP6X is an inductive proximity sensor designed for detecting metal objects without contact. This sensor operates within an ambient air temperature range of -30°C to +85°C and is equipped with a 2m pre-wired cable with bare end flying leads for connection. It belongs to the NI...-EM12 series and features a partially threaded M12 barrel shape. The sensor is constructed with a 1.4301 (304) stainless steel housing, a PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate) sensing face, an EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber) end cap, and a PVC cable jacket, ensuring durability and resistance to environmental conditions with an IP68 degree of protection. It operates on a supply voltage of 10-30Vdc, with nominal voltages of 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and can switch at frequencies up to 1kHz. The sensing distance is 8mm, and it operates in a Normally Open (NO) mode. The sensor has an M12 thread size and includes one digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.). It features protection against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity, with a response time of 8ms and a control circuit rated current of 200mA. The current consumption under no-load conditions is 25mA.
