Turck NI8-M18-LIU is an inductive proximity sensor designed for a variety of applications requiring precise, non-contact detection of metallic objects. This sensor operates within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C and is equipped with a 2m pre-wired cable with bare end flying leads for easy installation. It belongs to the NI...-M18 series and features a special version design without an LED indicator. The sensor offers a degree of protection IP67, making it suitable for harsh environments. It requires a supply voltage of 15-30Vdc, with 24Vdc nominal. The NI8-M18-LIU has a chrome-plated brass housing, a PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) sensing face, an EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber) end cap, and a PVC cable jacket, ensuring durability and resistance to various external factors. Its M18 partially threaded barrel shape allows for versatile mounting options. The sensor provides a maximum switching frequency of 100Hz and features an 8mm sensing distance.
