NI8-M12-AP6X-0.2-RS4T Description
Turck NI8-M12-AP6X-0.2-RS4T is an inductive proximity sensor designed for detecting the presence of metal objects without contact. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C and is equipped with a pre-wired 20cm / 8" pigtail cable that terminates with a 4-pin M12 Eurofast QD male connector. This sensor is part of the NI...-M12 series and offers a protection degree of IP67, making it suitable for use in environments where dust and water resistance are necessary. It requires a supply voltage of 10-30Vdc, with 12Vdc and 24Vdc as nominal values, and features a partially threaded barrel shape with an M12 thread size. The sensor's housing is made of chrome-plated brass with a PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) sensing face and an EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber) end cap, while the cable jacket is PVC. It has a sensing distance of 8mm and operates in a normally open (NO) mode. The maximum switching frequency is 2kHz / 2000Hz, and it includes one digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.). Protection functions include short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity protection, with a current consumption of 15mA (no-load current).
