Turck NI8-M12-AN6X is an inductive proximity sensor designed for detecting metal objects within an 8mm sensing distance. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C and is equipped with a pre-wired 2m cable with bare end flying leads for connection. This sensor falls under the NI...-M12 series and features a partially threaded M12 barrel shape. It offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, making it suitable for various industrial environments. The sensor operates with a supply voltage of 10-30Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and supports a maximum switching frequency of 2kHz. The housing is made of chrome-plated brass with a PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) sensing face and an EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber) end cap, while the cable jacket is PVC. It operates in a Normally Open (NO) mode and includes one digital output (10-30Vdc; NPN; 200mA max.). The sensor is protected against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity conditions.
