NI3-EH6.5K-Y1 Description

Turck NI3-EH6.5K-Y1 is an intrinsically-safe inductive proximity sensor designed for operation in environments with ambient air temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C. This sensor is part of the NI...-EH6.5 series and features a pre-wired 2m cable with bare end flying leads for connection. It is ATEX compliant, indicating suitability for explosive atmospheres, and lacks an LED indicator as part of its special design. The sensor has a protection rating of IP67, ensuring protection against dust and temporary immersion in water. It operates with a supply voltage of 8.2Vdc and has a 6.5mm diameter smooth short cylindrical/barrel shape, known as Picoprox. The maximum switching frequency is 5kHz, and it is constructed with a 1.4305 (303) stainless steel housing, a PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) sensing face, a PP (Polypropylene) end cap, and a PVC cable jacket. The sensing distance is 3mm, and it includes one digital output (8.2Vdc; NAMUR).
