Turck NI3-EG08-RN6X is an inductive proximity sensor designed for detecting the presence of metal objects without contact. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C and is equipped with a pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft PUR cable with bare end flying leads for connection. This sensor is part of the NI...-EG08 series and features a fully threaded M8 barrel (Picoprox) shape, ensuring a compact and durable installation. With a degree of protection rated at IP67, it is suitable for use in environments where dust and moisture resistance is required. The sensor operates on a supply voltage of 10-30Vdc, with nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and supports a maximum switching frequency of 3kHz. The housing is made from 1.4427 (316L) stainless steel, with a PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) sensing face, a PP (Polypropylene) end cap, and a PUR (Polyurethane) cable jacket, ensuring durability and resistance to various environmental conditions. It offers a sensing distance of 3mm and operates in a Normally Closed (NC) mode. The thread size is M8, and it features one digital output (10-30Vdc; NPN; 150mA max.). Protection functions include short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity protection, with a no-load current consumption of 15mA.
