Turck BI8-EM18E-AN6X-H1141/S1589 is an inductive proximity sensor/switch belonging to the BI...-EM18 series. This sensor features an extended barrel Weldguard coated embeddable design, with a supply voltage range of 10-30Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. It is constructed with a 1.4301 (304) stainless steel housing and a PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) sensing face. The connection is facilitated by a pre-equipped 4-pin M12 Eurofast QD male connector. Its shape is an M18 partially threaded extended cylindrical/barrel, offering a degree of protection rated at IP67. The sensor operates with a maximum switching frequency of 500Hz and has an ambient air temperature range for operation between -25°C and +70°C. The response time is 8ms / 0.008 s, and it includes 1 x digital output (10-30Vdc; NPN; 200mA max.) with a no-load current consumption of 15mA. The sensing distance is 8mm, and it features protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The control circuit is rated for a current of 100mA / 0.1 A, with a thread size of M18 and operates in a NO (Normally Open) mode.
