BI5U-M18E-AP6X Description
Turck BI5U-M18E-AP6X is an inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-M18 series, designed with an extended barrel that is embeddable. It operates with a supply voltage range of 10-30Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. The sensor features a chrome-plated brass housing, a PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate) sensing face, an EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber) end cap, and a PVC cable jacket. It comes pre-wired with a 2m / 6.5ft cable terminated with bare end flying leads. The shape is an M18 partially threaded extended cylindrical/barrel, offering a degree of protection rated at IP68. It has a maximum switching frequency of 1.5kHz / 1500Hz, and it can operate within an ambient air temperature range of -30°C to +85°C. The sensor includes 1 x digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.), with a no-load current consumption of 25mA and a sensing distance of 5mm. Protection functions include short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity protection. The control circuit is rated at 200mA / 0.2 A, and the operating mode is NO (Normally Open).
