Turck BI3U-M12-RP6X is an inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-M12 series, designed for embeddable applications. It operates with a supply voltage range of 10-30Vdc, including nominal 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and features a chrome-plated brass housing, an LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer) sensing face, an EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber) end cap, and a PVC cable jacket. This sensor is connected via a pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft cable terminated with bare end flying leads and has an M12 partially threaded barrel shape. It offers an IP68 degree of protection, a maximum switching frequency of 3kHz, and can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -30°C to +85°C. The BI3U-M12-RP6X provides one digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.), with a no-load current consumption of 25mA and a sensing distance of 3mm. It includes protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity, features an M12 thread size, and operates in a Normally Closed (NC) mode.
