BI2-Q5.5-AP6X/S1589 Description
Turck BI2-Q5.5-AP6X/S1589 is an inductive proximity sensor from the BI...-Q5.5 series featuring a Weldguard coated, embeddable design. It operates with a supply voltage of 10-30Vdc, including nominal 12Vdc and 24Vdc. The sensor is constructed with a PP (Polypropylene) housing, PP-GF20 (glass fiber reinforced Polypropylene) sensing face, and a PUR (Polyurethane) cable jacket. It comes pre-wired with a 2m / 6.5ft PUR cable terminated with bare end flying leads. This sensor has a 5.5mm thick rectangular body and offers an IP67 degree of protection. It can operate at a maximum switching frequency of 2kHz / 2000Hz and is designed to function in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C. The BI2-Q5.5-AP6X/S1589 features 1 x digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 150mA max.), with a no-load current consumption of 15mA and a sensing distance of 2mm. Its protection functions include short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity protection. The operating mode for this sensor is NO (Normally Open).
