BI15-Q20-Y1X Description

Turck BI15-Q20-Y1X is an intrinsically-safe inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-Q20 series. This ATEX compliant, embeddable sensor operates with a supply voltage of 8.2Vdc and features a housing and sensing face made of glass fiber reinforced Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT-GF30-V0). It comes pre-wired with a 2m (approximately 6.5ft) PVC cable, terminating in bare end flying leads. The sensor has a 20mm thick rectangular body and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. It is capable of a maximum switching frequency of 1kHz (1000Hz) and can operate within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C. The BI15-Q20-Y1X provides one digital output (8.2Vdc; NAMUR) and has a sensing distance of 15mm.
