SMU315FP Description
Banner Engineering SMU315FP is a photo-electric fiber optic sensor belonging to the SMU315 universal voltage series. It features a potentiometer adjustment design and is constructed with a thermoplastic housing and glass fiber. This sensor is pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable that terminates with bare end flying leads. It supports a supply voltage range of 24Vac-240Vac (200Vac / 220Vac nom.) for AC and 24Vdc-240Vdc (48Vdc / 120Vdc / 220Vdc nom.) for DC. The SMU315FP operates within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +55°C and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, NEMA 1, 2, 3, 3S, 4, 4X, 6, 12, and 13. Its rectangular shape is complemented by a single digital output (SPDT relay contact), and it operates with a visible red light at a wavelength of 650 nm. The sensor's response time is 20ms / 0.02 s, and it features operating modes for both light-ON and dark-ON conditions.
