Q20NRLQ5 Description

Banner Engineering Q20NRLQ5 is a long-range photo-electric sensor designed for through-beam system applications, functioning as the receiver component. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +60 °C and is housed in a thermoplastic casing. This sensor is part of the Q20 series and offers a sensing distance of up to 20 meters. It utilizes infrared light with a wavelength of 850 nm and can operate in both Light-ON and Dark-ON modes. The Q20NRLQ5 is equipped with a pre-wired 6-inch (150mm) pigtail that terminates with a 4-pin Euro-style M12 connector. It features a rectangular shape and provides one digital output via an NPN transistor. The sensor's response times are 1ms for turning ON and 0.6ms for turning OFF. It requires a supply voltage of 10Vdc to 30Vdc, with 12Vdc and 24Vdc as nominal values. The Q20NRLQ5 is protected to IP67 and NEMA 6 standards, ensuring its operation in various environmental conditions.
