SI3.5-K10-Y1 2M Description

Turck SI3.5-K10-Y1 2M is a sensor designed for proximity detection with an inductive approach, belonging to the SI...-K10 series. This ATEX compliant special version is characterized by its absence of an LED indicator, ensuring its suitability for specific environments requiring intrinsically-safe equipment. The sensor is encased in a PBT-GF30-V0 material, which is glass fiber reinforced Polybutylene Terephthalate, for both the housing and the sensing face, with a PVC cable jacket. It comes pre-wired with a 2-meter cable that terminates in bare end flying leads for connection. Operating on a supply voltage of 8.2Vdc, it can function within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C. The sensor is IP67 rated, indicating a high degree of protection against dust and water ingress. Its design features a 15mm thick rectangular body with a 3.5mm passageway for the sensing element. It offers a single digital output (8.2Vdc; NAMUR) and has a sensing distance of 3.5mm, with a maximum switching frequency of 3kHz or 3000Hz.
