RU50U-S18-LU8X Description
Turck RU50U-S18-LU8X is an ultrasonic sensor from the RU50U series featuring a 20° sonic cone diffuse mode for front sensing. It is equipped with ultrasonic sensor TEACH-by-wire functionality. The sensor's housing is made of LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer), with a sensing face composed of PET (Polyethylene terephthalate), PU (Polyurethane), and Epoxy, and an end cap made of EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber). It comes pre-wired with a 2m / 6.5ft cable terminated with bare end flying leads for connection. The sensor operates on a supply voltage of 15-30Vdc (24Vdc nom.) and can function in ambient air temperatures ranging from -20°C to +50°C. It is designed with an IP67 degree of protection, indicating its dust and water resistance. The shape of the sensor is an M18 partially threaded barrel, and it features 1 x digital output (15-30Vdc; PNP; fixed threshold) and 1 x analog output (0-10Vdc). The sensing distance of the sensor ranges from 50-500mm, with a current consumption of 50mA (no-load current). It includes protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed) and reverse polarity. The sensor's thread size is M18, and it offers a measurement accuracy (resolution) of 0.2mm.
