RU50L-S18-AN8X Description
Turck RU50L-S18-AN8X is an ultrasonic sensor from the RU50L series, designed with a 20° sonic cone in retro-reflective mode for front sensing. It features ultrasonic sensor TEACH-by-wire functionality and is constructed with a Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) housing, a sensing face made from PET (Polyethylene terephthalate), PU (Polyurethane), and Epoxy, and an end cap of EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber). This sensor is equipped with a pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft cable with bare end flying leads for connection and operates on a supply voltage of 15-30Vdc, with 24Vdc nominal. It is designed to function within an ambient air temperature range of -20°C to +50°C and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. The RU50L-S18-AN8X has a partially threaded barrel shape with an M18 thread size, and it includes 1 x digital output (20-30Vdc; NPN; 150mA max.). It offers a sensing distance of 50-500mm and a no-load current consumption of 50mA. The sensor operates with a maximum switching frequency of 9.6Hz and includes protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed) and reverse polarity. Its operating mode is NO (Normally Open), and it boasts a measurement accuracy (resolution) of 0.2mm.
