Turck RU40U-M18ES-LU8X2-H1151 is an ultrasonic sensor from the RU40U series featuring a 9° sonic cone diffuse mode side sensing design. This sensor is equipped with ultrasonic sensor TEACH-by-wire functionality and is constructed with a chrome-plated brass housing and a sensing face made of PET (Polyethylene terephthalate), PU (Polyurethane), and Epoxy. It comes pre-equipped with a 5-pin M12 Eurofast QD male connector for connectivity. The sensor operates on a supply voltage of 15-30Vdc, with 24Vdc nominal, and can function within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C. It is designed with an IP67 degree of protection and has an M18 partially threaded barrel shape. The sensor features 1 x digital output (15-30Vdc; PNP; fixed threshold; 150mA max.) and 1 x analog output (0-10Vdc), with a sensing distance of 25-400mm. Its current consumption is 50mA (no-load current), and it has a maximum switching frequency of 10.4Hz. The sensor offers protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed) and reverse polarity, operates with a transmission frequency of 300kHz / 0.3 MHz, and has a measurement accuracy (resolution) of 0.5mm. The control circuit is rated at 50mA / 0.05 A.
