Turck NI8-P18-Y1/S139-S1261 is an intrinsically-safe inductive proximity sensor designed for underwater and offshore applications. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C and is ATEX compliant, making it suitable for submersion up to 500m and resistant to seawater and oils. This model, part of the NI...-P18 series, comes without an LED indicator and features a pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft TPE-jacketed cable with bare end flying leads for connection. It offers a degree of protection of IP68 and requires a supply voltage of 8.2Vdc. The sensor has an M18 fully threaded barrel shape, with a maximum switching frequency of 1kHz / 1000Hz. It is constructed from POM (Polyoxymethylene) for both the housing and sensing face, with a 1.4401 (316) stainless steel end cap and a TPE (Thermoplastic elastomer) cable jacket. The sensing distance is 8mm, and it has a thread size of M18. It includes one digital output (8.2Vdc; NAMUR).
