Turck NI20U-S30-AP6X is an inductive proximity sensor designed for detecting the presence of metal objects without contact. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -30°C to +85°C and is equipped with a 2m pre-wired cable with bare end flying leads for connection. This sensor is part of the NI...-S30 series and features a partially threaded M30 barrel shape. It offers a sensing distance of 20mm and operates in a normally open (NO) mode. The sensor is designed to work with a supply voltage of 10-30Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and supports a maximum switching frequency of 1kHz. The housing and sensing face are made from glass fiber reinforced Polyamide (PA12-GF30), with an Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber (EPTR) end cap and a PVC cable jacket, ensuring durability. It provides a single digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.) and includes protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The sensor's response time is 8ms, and it has a control circuit rated current of 200mA with a no-load current consumption of 25mA. It is designed with an IP68 degree of protection, making it suitable for use in environments requiring high levels of dust and moisture resistance.
