Turck NI20U-S30-AN6X is an inductive proximity sensor designed for detecting metal objects without contact. This sensor operates within an ambient air temperature range of -30°C to +85°C and is equipped with a 2m pre-wired cable with bare end flying leads for connection. It falls under the NI...-S30 series and offers a degree of protection rated at IP68, making it suitable for harsh environments. The sensor operates on a supply voltage of 10-30Vdc, with nominal values at 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and features a partially threaded barrel shape with an M30 thread size. The housing and sensing face are made from glass fiber reinforced Polyamide (PA12-GF30), with an Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber (EPTR) end cap and a PVC cable jacket. It has a sensing distance of 20mm and operates in a Normally Open (NO) mode. The sensor supports a digital output (10-30Vdc; NPN; 200mA max.) and is capable of a maximum switching frequency of 1kHz. It includes protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity, with a response time of 8ms and a control circuit rated current of 200mA.
