BIM-EG08-AN6X Description

Turck BIM-EG08-AN6X is a sensor designed for detecting the position of magnetic fields in cylindrical objects. It belongs to the BIM-EG08 series and functions as a magnetic field cylinder position sensor or switch. This embeddable design sensor operates with a supply voltage range of 10-30Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. It features a stainless steel housing, a sensing face made of PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide), a PP (Polypropylene) end cap, and a PUR (Polyurethane) cable jacket. The sensor is connected via a pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft PUR cable that terminates with bare end flying leads. Its shape is an M8 fully threaded barrel (Picoprox), ensuring a compact and efficient design. The BIM-EG08-AN6X offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, making it suitable for various industrial environments. It has a maximum switching frequency of 1kHz / 1000Hz and can operate within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C. The sensor includes 1 x digital output (10-30Vdc; NPN; 150mA max.) and has a no-load current consumption of 15mA. It is equipped with protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The thread size is M8, and it operates in a Normally Open (NO) mode.
