BI8-M18-LI-EXI Description
Turck BI8-M18-LI-EXI is an inductive proximity sensor from the BI...-M18 series, designed for embedment with a special version that excludes an LED indicator. It operates on a supply voltage of 15-30Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc, and features a chrome-plated brass housing with a PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) sensing face and an EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber) end cap. The sensor is equipped with a PVC cable jacket and is connected via a pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft cable with bare end flying leads. Its M18 partially threaded barrel shape is designed for easy installation, and it offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, making it suitable for various industrial environments. The sensor has a maximum switching frequency of 200Hz and can operate within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C. It provides 1 x analog output (4-20mA; linear) and has a sensing distance of 8mm, with a thread size of M18.
