BI4-G12K-AP6X/S1589 Description
Turck BI4-G12K-AP6X/S1589 is an inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-G12 series, designed with a short barrel Weldguard coated for embeddable applications. It operates with a supply voltage range of 10-30Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. The sensor features a chrome-plated brass housing and a PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) sensing face, along with a PVC cable jacket for its pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft cable that terminates with bare end flying leads. Its shape is an M12 fully threaded short cylindrical/barrel, offering a degree of protection rated at IP67. The sensor has a maximum switching frequency of 2kHz / 2000Hz and can operate within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C. It includes 1 x digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.), with a current consumption of 15mA under no-load conditions. The sensing distance is 4mm, and it is equipped with protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The thread size is M12, and it operates in a Normally Open (NO) mode.
