BI2-S12-AP6X Description
Turck BI2-S12-AP6X is an inductive proximity sensor within the BI...-S12 series, designed for embeddable applications. It operates on a supply voltage of 10-30Vdc, with nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. The sensor is constructed with a PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) housing and sensing face, an EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber) end cap, and a PVC cable jacket. It features a pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft cable with bare end flying leads for connection. The sensor's shape is an M12 partially threaded barrel, offering an IP67 degree of protection. It has a maximum switching frequency of 2kHz / 2000Hz, an ambient air temperature operation range of -25°C to +70°C, and a response time of 8ms / 0.008 s. The sensor includes 1 x digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.), with a no-load current consumption of 15mA, a sensing distance of 2mm, and is equipped with protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The control circuit is rated at 200mA / 0.2 A, with an M12 thread size and operates in a Normally Open (NO) mode.
