BI2-M12-RD4X Description
Turck BI2-M12-RD4X is an inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-M12 series, designed for embeddable applications. It operates with a supply voltage range of 10-65Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc, 24Vdc, and 48Vdc. The sensor features a chrome-plated brass housing, a PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) sensing face, an EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber) end cap, and a PVC cable jacket. It comes pre-wired with a 2m / 6.5ft cable terminated with bare end flying leads. The shape of the sensor is an M12 partially threaded barrel, offering a degree of protection rated at IP67. It has a maximum switching frequency of 1kHz / 1000Hz, can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C, and includes 1 x digital output (10-65Vdc; DC 2-wire; 100mA max.). The sensing distance is 2mm, and it is equipped with protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The thread size is M12, and it operates in a Normally Closed (NC) mode.
