BI2-K11-Y1 Description
Turck BI2-K11-Y1 is an intrinsically-safe inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-K11 series. This ATEX compliant, embeddable special version is designed without an LED indicator and operates with a supply voltage of 8.2Vdc. It features a housing made of glass fiber reinforced Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT-GF30-V0), a sensing face of glass fiber reinforced Polyamide (PA12-GF30), an end cap of Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber (EPTR), and a PVC cable jacket. The sensor is connected via a pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft cable terminated with bare end flying leads. It has an 11mm diameter smooth cylindrical/barrel shape and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. The maximum switching frequency is 5kHz / 5000Hz, and it can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C. It includes 1 x digital output (8.2Vdc; NAMUR) and has a sensing distance of 2mm.
