Turck BI2-EGT08K-AP6X/S1589 is an inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-EGT08 series. This sensor features a short barrel Weldguard coated embeddable design, with a supply voltage range of 10-30Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. It is constructed with a PTFE-coated 1.4427 (316L) stainless steel housing, a PTFE-coated PA12-GF20 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) sensing face, a PP (Polypropylene) end cap, and a PUR (Polyurethane) cable jacket. The sensor is connected via a pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft PUR cable terminated with bare end flying leads. Its shape is an M8 fully threaded short cylindrical/barrel, offering a degree of protection rated at IP67. The maximum switching frequency is 1kHz / 1000Hz, with an ambient air temperature operation range of -25°C to +70°C. The response time is 8ms / 0.008 s. It has one digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 150mA max.), with a no-load current consumption of 15mA. The sensing distance is 2mm, and it includes protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The control circuit rated current is 150mA / 0.15 A, with an M8 thread size and operates in a NO (Normally Open) mode.
