BI2-EG08K-AP6X Description
Turck BI2-EG08K-AP6X is an inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-EG08 series, designed with a short barrel embeddable form. It operates with a supply voltage range of 10-30Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. The sensor is constructed with a 1.4305 (303) stainless steel housing, a PA6.6 (Polyamide) sensing face, a PP (Polypropylene) end cap, and a PUR (Polyurethane) cable jacket. It features a pre-wired connection with a 2m / 6.5ft PUR cable terminated with bare end flying leads. The sensor's shape is an M8 fully threaded short cylindrical/barrel (Picoprox), and it offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. It has a maximum switching frequency of 3kHz / 3000Hz, an ambient air temperature operation range of -25°C to +70°C, and a response time of 8ms / 0.008 s. The sensor includes 1 x digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 150mA max.), with a no-load current consumption of 15mA, a sensing distance of 2mm, and protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The control circuit is rated for a current of 150mA / 0.15 A, with a thread size of M8, and operates in a NO (Normally Open) mode.
