NI4-S12-AN6X Description
Turck NI4-S12-AN6X is an inductive proximity sensor designed for detecting metal objects within a 4mm sensing distance. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C and features a pre-wired 2m cable with bare end flying leads for connection. This sensor is part of the NI...-S12 series and comes with an IP67 degree of protection, making it suitable for harsh environments. It requires a supply voltage of 10-30Vdc, with 12Vdc and 24Vdc as nominal values, and can handle a maximum switching frequency of 2kHz. The sensor's housing and sensing face are made from glass fiber reinforced Polyamide (PA12-GF30), with an Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber (EPTR) end cap and a PVC cable jacket. It operates in a Normally Open (NO) mode and includes a single digital output (10-30Vdc; NPN; 200mA max.). The sensor is equipped with protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. It has a response time of 8ms and a control circuit rated current of 200mA, with a no-load current consumption of 15mA.
