NI4-S12-AD4X Description

Turck NI4-S12-AD4X is an inductive proximity sensor designed for a variety of applications requiring a sensing distance of 4mm. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C and is equipped with a pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft cable with bare end flying leads for connection. This sensor is part of the NI...-S12 series and features a partially threaded M12 barrel shape. It offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, making it suitable for harsh environments. The supply voltage is compatible with 10-65Vdc systems, including nominal values of 12Vdc, 24Vdc, and 48Vdc. The NI4-S12-AD4X operates at a maximum switching frequency of 1kHz / 1000Hz and includes a single digital output (10-65Vdc; DC 2-wire; 100mA max.). Its construction includes a PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) housing and sensing face, an EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber) end cap, and a PVC cable jacket. The operating mode is normally open (NO), and it features protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity.
