NI15-S30-VN4X Description
Turck NI15-S30-VN4X is an inductive proximity sensor designed for detecting the presence of metal objects without contact. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C and is equipped with a 2m pre-wired cable with bare end flying leads for connection. This sensor is part of the NI...-S30 series and features a partially threaded M30 barrel shape. It offers a sensing distance of 15mm and can operate in both NO (Normally Open) and NC (Normally Closed) modes with complementary outputs. The sensor is designed to work with a supply voltage of 10-65Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc, 24Vdc, and 48Vdc, and supports a maximum switching frequency of 500Hz. The housing and sensing face are made from glass fiber reinforced Polyamide (PA12-GF30), with an EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber) end cap and a PVC cable jacket, ensuring an IP67 degree of protection. It features a digital output (10-65Vdc; NPN; 200mA max.) and includes protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The sensor's response time is 8ms, with a control circuit rated current of 200mA and a no-load current consumption of 15mA.
