Turck BIM-QST-Y1X is an intrinsically-safe magnetic cylinder position sensor or switch, belonging to the BIM-QST series. It features an ATEX compliant embeddable design suitable for hazardous environments. The sensor operates with a supply voltage of 8.2Vdc and is constructed with a PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) housing and sensing face, along with a PVC cable jacket. It is connected via a pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft cable that terminates with bare end flying leads. The sensor has a rectangular body shape and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, making it resistant to dust and water ingress. It can operate within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C and has a maximum switching frequency of 1kHz (1000Hz). The BIM-QST-Y1X is equipped with one digital output (8.2Vdc; NAMUR).
