BIM-NST-AP6X Description
Turck BIM-NST-AP6X is a magnetic field cylinder position sensor/switch belonging to the BIM-NST series. This sensor features a clamp-on cylinder design that is embeddable, with a Permaprox cylinder sensor for precise positioning. It operates on a supply voltage of 10-30Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and is constructed with a PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) housing and sensing face, along with a PVC cable jacket for durability. The sensor is pre-wired with a 2m (approximately 6.5ft) cable that terminates with bare end flying leads for easy installation. It has a rectangular body shape and offers an IP67 degree of protection against ingress. The sensor operates at a frequency of up to 1kHz (1000Hz) and can function in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C. It features a single digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.) and has a no-load current consumption of 15mA. For protection, it includes functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The control circuit is rated at 200mA (0.2 A), and the operating mode is normally open (NO).
