BIM-EM12E-Y1X Description
Turck BIM-EM12E-Y1X is an intrinsically-safe magnetic cylinder position sensor or switch, belonging to the BIM-EM12E series. This sensor is designed with an ATEX compliant extended barrel that is embeddable. It operates with a supply voltage of 8.2Vdc. The housing is made from 1.4301 (304) stainless steel, and it features a sensing face of PBT-GF30 (glass reinforced Polybutylene Terephthalate), an EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber) end cap, and a PVC cable jacket. It is connected via a pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft cable that terminates with bare end flying leads. The sensor has an M12 partially threaded barrel shape, offers a degree of protection of IP67, and can operate within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C. It has a maximum switching frequency of 1kHz / 1000Hz and includes 1 x digital output (8.2Vdc; NAMUR) with an M12 thread size.
